Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos and opera, along with all dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she began more intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. When she was a student, as well as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. After moving from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
