MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him become a part of mainstream Latin music. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN came out through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that was which was a Top Five hit. He released in 2020 the album that charted Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia along with Noriel. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was born into a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father also are musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral aspect of his daily life. He began learning to play the saxophone and guitar as well as piano, and ukulele as when he was a child. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with an Cuban instructor. As a consequence of discovering the talent as a singer altered the trajectory of his life.
