Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actress who achieved notoriety for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. Her career began in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in the Tezaab film, where she played with an established actor Anil Kapoor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil with whom she shared the screen alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai her home, she grew up within a middle class family parents. From a very early age, she started to study dance. As a young woman, she started acting but faced difficulties as most of her film projects were not successful. The actress gained fame and was one of India's top movie actresses. After her marriage was over, she took a few months away from performing prior to returning. She was also an important part in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her social work sector is well known.
